The President was at a fund raiser yesterday seeking donations for reelection but as an afterthought confirmed that there is no more sea life living in any ocean. A committee is being formed to oversee the existing committee on discussing a bail out program for British Petroleum. …British Petroleum said today they are still working hard to cap the leak in the gulf by putting sand on top of the hole but reports it’s a time consuming job. Meanwhile the last of the Whales and Sea Turtles are putting themselves on shore preferring to suffocate on land rather the in the ocean. When asked about the scarcity of drinking water in the United States the president said, the government will provide bottled water on the third Wednesday of every month. Limit is two 12 once bottles per family of four. Non-citizens will receive six 12 ounce bottles. When ask why that is…The president replied, because we need to be nice to our foreign friends. They showed great courage crossing the border in all that gunfire. In other news the Senate just voted a unanimous yes to appropriate from American taxpayers, the money to build a Western White House in Dubai.

In other future news…. The committee overseeing the committee seeking to elect Mohammed Abdul Mohammed Jr. President of the United States is seeking funds from the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. I was 21 and working at Bradley when this film was made. I was the Airport electrician for almost 20 years... I ended up at the Navy Subase in Groton. I was the base Electrician working for the Federal Government. I went to Lime Rock race way all the time. It was where I met Paul Newman..Now I live next to Rocky Neck State Park. It hasn't changed that much and I love there in the Winter. Its so peaceful and quiet. What wonderful memories.. It seems like things were slower and peaceful then...I had and still have a great life.. Thank you for this film..

I'm from the 70s and 80's ...Being a Tradesmen I never had to worry.. Ex-Military police I've had offers from 2 different police departments and prisons. I refused them all. I worked a Tradesmen job for 20 years and quit and went to work for the Federal Government.. They made me an offer.. I left after 3 years from a top secret job.. I've had people offer me a job in my trade and didn't take them.. I was very picky.. They needed me and I knew it.. I had friends in the military stationed in the far east years ago.. He said he seen bodies of female babies floating in a river. They would throw them away like trash because they were female.. These days when we go into stores or go out to dinner. I don't make it obvious but I always look for the exits or suspicious people. I think they teach you that in spy school... It was brought to my attention by some kids that the Army National Guard recruiters are going to the High Schools in this area to seduce 14 and 15 year old boys and girls by enticing them to join at age 18 with promises of College and jobs. Imagine to have to plant the seed at such an early age. I think its obscene and it should be a crime to do such a thing. The point here is the Army Guard must be really hard up to do this. They know they will only get the kid with a low grade point average because anybody with half a brain or smart parents wouldn’t let their son or daughter join to fight this never ending war. The thing is once you join they won’t let you out when your enlistment time is up.. They keep extending your enlistment and keep you in Iraq or now Afghanistan. Soon it will be North Korea or areas around Pakistan. There is going to be to much trouble in the future for anyone to join the Army. If you are going to join anything join the Navy…Your chances of staying alive are much better and you just may learn to do something besides killing people. I remember stuttering when I was very young. It was in Kindergarten and I think the other kids laughed at me. It was a funny feeling thinking the word but not being able to say it. Dad told me, “to try to slow down talking and to think before I said something”. I remember trying really hard to slow down talking. It took a while but I did and it worked and the stuttering passed. I remember not have to have think about it anymore. I started taking naps in the afternoon because when I was a little kid I remember reading about the Mexicans taking a Siesta. It was explained to me by my teacher in Geography class that they do this every day and it was a custom and part of their daily life. They even showed a picture of a guy with a big hat called a Sombrero sitting down sleeping. I remember in Kindergarten when the teacher gave us cardboard mats to lay on for an afternoon nap. To this day when given the opportunity I take a nap. I have been doing this every day for years. Its neat to remember the way it was. It was so much better then.

To make you spend money. Believe me that is true…Most shows today are designed to sell you something. A game or a product or a drug. TV today is only an advertising tool you involuntarily let into your house so they can make money. Think of it as something, “that sell things continuously“. The entertainment value is practically zero. A few years ago they had something called prime time TV...Now its mostly an exhibition of who can do the most asinine things…Real people are not like this but we are turning into a society that does crazy things to be famous. What they do is just an act for the camera. The shows or sitcoms that are still there are laced with body part jokes that are more for shock value and are not in the least bit funny. Did you notice the bullying epidemic got worst when a show called “Glee” started. The writers of that show wrote “Nip-tuck“. Doesn’t that tell you something? They turned the “Talent show” craze into a show that goes to the edge. One that pushes things to the limit. Yet, no one did anything about it.

Do your kids do that? Do your kids send sex messages? When was the last time you checked your son or daughters cell phone? Think about that… A young mind is very open to suggestions good or bad. A kid will usually try anything once. TV ads prey on families where both parents work. The advertisers know this and don’t care. Its like they are setting a bad example on purpose. Young minds are being shoved and pushed in the wrong direction everyday. Families are in chaos and being torn apart because of drug and alcohol addiction. Sickness and health mean nothing anymore… My solution is simply not to watch TV. The more I talk to people about this phenomenon the more I hear of them doing the same thing. By not watching TV I feel a lot better and my mind is clear of negative thoughts and ideas.

Your peace of mind and serenity have been manipulated into buying material things and for the most part your freedom of choice has been taken away. They continue to lie and say everything is OK and you really believe them... They want you to think that drugs and alcohol are to have a good time and not addictive. They don’t care because all they want is for you to do spend money. That is what its all about. You are officially living in a very sick society and have been for a while now...

I cannot tell you what to. I can only suggest that you do what I do.. I try to live my life by certain rules. Its more of a “Code of Conduct” than anything else. I said that to someone the other day and surprised myself. I started to think about it and this is what I came up with. I mean, I know that there are things I won’t do or lines I won’t cross. Its also knowing the consequences that prevent me from upsetting the apple cart.

1. I must realize that I can’t control the things that happen around me or the decisions that other people make.

2. I have to remember each day, that somewhere there is a God that will help me to NOT wonder why everything is happening, not only to me but to everyone else.

3. I must remember each day to let that God take care of me and the people around me but I cannot to stop caring about everyone.

4. Take a long look at myself and my behavior now and in the past and try not to repeat the negative things.

5. Discuss and tell the truth to someone or my God about my negative behavior.

6. I have the desire and the ability to let past discretion's be forgiven and not to hold grudges.

7. I must have humility realizing that everything isn’t always about me.

8. If necessary make a list, on paper of people I have hurt or have been at fault for hurting.

9. I will apologize to the people that I have offended, not getting anyone angry while doing this. This could be complicated but it is possible.

10. Each day I must remember the things I have done and if I do anything to hurt someone voluntarily or involuntarily, immediately admit it and apologize.

11. I must work on these rules each day, not expecting things to change overnight.

12. Having discovered that by living by this code, I should be helping others with kindness and patience and living each day being tolerant with everyone.

I was talking to some of my friends yesterday and they told me of people saying some not so nice things. Some of the thoughts and things you don't want to say out loud because you don't want the wrong people to hear these things. I will say these are God-fearing religious people and I have never heard this kind of talk before. Its rather dangerous to say these things. I will say that there will be more stealing, cheating and anger and if you think that money is going to fix things you are wrong...It will cause more fear and anxiety to the point that there may be riots in the streets. I know what you are thinking but it is possible. I don't know what gives those fools in the White House the right to steal this money from the taxpayers. That is not what the constitution is all about. I have got to go now before I say something I'll regret....

“Priest's Retirement Dinner”

Someone sent this to me…………..After thinking about it for about 4 seconds I decided to do a little editing and post it….The way the politicians are these days it could be a true story…

A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner for the Priest..

However, the politician was delayed, so the Priest decided to say a few words while they waited.

He went to podium and said, “I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. At first I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He said, he had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs and gave VD to his girlfriend. I was appalled. But as the days went on, I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people”.

Just as the Priest finished his talk, the politician breathlessly arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately walked to the podium and began to make the presentation and start his talk by saying, “I’ll never forget the first day our parish Priest arrived, In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession”.

Comment.........I have been thinking about the comments I made the other morning about illegal’s. I understand the intolerable conditions of some of the countries they come from but when they come to America they have the responsibility to join the work force, pay taxes and obey the laws. Coming here is not free. If they want to stay they need learn the English language and become a citizen. I didn’t say it was going to be easy…I mentioned before my grandmother and grandfather did it and they practically raised me while my parents worked. Let me tell you something…..If I moved to Italy, France or Russia for that matter, I guarantee and promise that within 6 months I would speak the language. I know and realize that because I would have went there prepared to do what is asked of me. I certainty would not expect them to change for me. Remember, “When in Rome do as the Romans do”. I understand that there are rules and laws and its not easy. Its nice here but moving here does not come with all the perks. It’s the responsibly of anyone who moves here, to work, take care of the environment and if they plan to stay, learn to speak English. They must also learn our cultures and be respectful no matter how hard it is. Its not as easy as its cracked up to be….

Yesterday my daughter e-mailed me again asking why I didn't do something useful with my time.

“Like sitting around the pool and drinking wine is not a good thing”, I said. Talking about my "doing something useful" seems to be her favorite topic of conversation. She was "only thinking of me" she said, and suggested I go down to the Mens' Shed and hang out with the guys. I did this and when I got home last night I decided to teach her a lesson about staying out of my business. I e-mailed her and told her that I had joined a parachute club.

She replied, "Are you nuts? You are 75 years old, and now you're going to start jumping out of planes?"

I told her that I even got a membership card and e-mailed a copy to her.

She immediately telephoned me, "Good grief, where are your glasses? This is a membership to a Prostitute Club, not a Parachute Club.

"Oh man, I'm in trouble again; I really don't know what to do... I signed up for five jumps a week." The line went quiet and her friend picked up the phone and said that my daughter had fainted.

Life as a senior citizen is not getting any easier but sometimes it can be fun.

Yes it is sad but its real. Its just when they say everything is good and it isn't. Its like they are being overlooked. No, its not all like this. Its the hundreds of for sale signs on houses in certain areas. They will ignore a perfectly good empty building and build another one next to it for a business. The farms are gone. They will cut down fields of trees for a coffee shop knowing there are 3 more a mile away. Farm equipment is left to rot. I imagine a hard working man or woman working all their lives only to die and the result is boards over the windows and junk all over the place. All those factory's along the rivers are gone or rotting away. Sad, yes you are right. No one cares...What I am posting are reminders. How much will it cost to install a special plug in your garage to do it? Depending on how much you use it I can see a $2000 monthly bill for electricity.. I have been thinking about the “back when” theme.. I like that.. I run out of stuff to say but that’s OK. The thing is I have to stop complaining and show some of my memories.. This is a picture from my wedding.. My wife Ann died of Cancer when she was 64. I wasn’t married to her at the end but we were the best of friends.. I miss her. The 20 years we were married we went through some tough times with some drug sick kids but we survived.. This is not sad excuse story. We had wonderful times together and the memories I have of us are golden…She was not only a beautiful woman but was charming person…

Not to long ago at one time I was a little kid.. We all were little kids.. I miss back then.. I was small. Innocent…. Now, years later there is a feeling of loneliness and I miss things.. I miss the old town I lived in, the people, my friends. I have discovered you can visit but you can never go back.. Yes, you can go back to the town but everything is changed. All the buildings I knew are gone. The people are gone.

It seems like things changed over night. It even smells different… I’m at an age now where you start thinking about genes and health.. I’m so blessed when it comes to that.. It seems like yesterday that I was going to the Catholic school in my little town.. I remember that, like it was yesterday…We try so hard to hang on to what we have but it still changes. The people we knew, our parents, even the material things. Everything changes. The older you get, the time moves faster and faster. Now it seems you don’t have time to enjoy, even a moment anymore. You put up imaginary fences and walls to keep out the bad guys and thoughts but some always manage to slither through.. These days its hard to tell the difference between the good and the bad. I feel sad because there are a lots of innocents that will never be the same again. I do everything I can to live and let live but I have a compassion for those who I know that will never be able to live what I consider normal life. They will never have what I had and still have… At times I worry but under the surface there is a peace and understanding, a subtle happiness that I have earned through the years.. That I will never lose.. I wait now, patiently with a content and a comfortable feeling to be voided out.....

Hollywood and fame strip these kids of their morals and dignity.. Its been going on for years.. Lack of parental supervision when an agent takes over then the almighty dollar and the craving of the adoration of an audience leads drug use and a willingness to do and say anything to get what they think is missing from their lives..

Morbid yes.. bear with me please.. How about actors and actress's that had it all and lose their life using drugs and alcohol by overdosing or committing suicide.. You could go back 10 or 20 years maybe saying no matter who you are or what you have...don't use drugs....

When it snows, especially when there is freezing rain mixed in, everyone needs to go really fast.. 100, 120 MPH.. Make sure to be talking and texting on your cell phone while going fast during an ice or snow storm…You can fly over the snow and icy spots... Its also important to zigzag between slower drivers and to follow them close, less than one car length.. Turn off all lights so you can surprise other drivers. Pass trailer trucks and cars on the right and left coming as close as possible. Follow the trucks really close when you see snow on the back of the trailer.. The more snow the better.. Speed is very important so when it snows go really fast….

Recycling... Not to long ago I took ride on my bike to the recycling center in Suffield Conn. Its a huge facility that receives the garbage from the surrounding communities. Those big garbage trucks you see a few times a week on your street back into these places and dump their load onto conveyor belts to be separated by workers (humans) and sent to different places in this huge trash factory . For example, plastic with plastic, aluminum with aluminum and glass with glass. The rest of the trash like paper and other things is sent to a special place in this factory. In other words nothing is actually thrown away. Everything is, to put it bluntly, recycled...I wonder who paid to build these places and who works there? Another question here is who is making money on the things you throw away? I seen freight car loads of shredded aluminum and plastic going somewhere...They want you to separate this stuff. Why? Do you separate your trash and garbage for them? Do you get paid for doing this? Why, do you do this if someone does for you?

“I Could Have Been a Rock Star”

If I knew, just some of what I know now when I was a young man I would have become a Rock Star…Wait, don’t say anything yet or “Jump to conclusions.” Dad used to say that last part… I did play the electric guitar for a while when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I started to get good until I had finger problems. I had and still have Reynaud’s Disease, a circulatory problem and because of ulcerated finger tips I had to stop playing. Two major operations, two weeks in intensive care, two months in the hospital and a year later my disease was under control but I couldn’t play anymore. My finger tips were healing and very tender. The calluses were gone. I was afraid if I tried, the finger problem would return and I didn’t want to go through all that hospital stuff again or risk losing a finger or two…These days I always enjoy thinking that if I threw caution to the wind, made different decisions and worked really hard at overcoming the finger problems I could have been a success at playing with a band. I did have two friends who were singer musicians and they had hit records. If I only put myself in the right place with these guys at the right time and really had the guts and determination to pursue this line of work. I mean it would have been a job after all. I think and I am almost sure I could have played for a major Rock Band. Today when I hear the lead guitar for Guns N’ Roses, Journey, The Stones or of the any the big name groups from a few years ago. I get goose bumps. I know the cords and beat, the strumming technique and the timing. I can feel the energy of the crowd. I can actually feel myself playing lead or back up guitar with the crowd roaring…Its like I’m there…. Its an unbelievable feeling… I could cry when I think of what I could have done if I stayed healthy…..

Comment ....I wrote this piece on September 3, 2011 for Live Journal and reread it just the other day. Yesterday morning I was talking to someone about what they call "a series of events". Like what would I be doing now if I did this or that. What if I made the decision to talk to someone or not talk to someone. What happens when I make the decision not to go somewhere or to go somewhere. Like the right choices or the wrong choices...Each decision we make through out our lives could change the coarse of our lives...Knowingly or unknowingly we could, without the proper guidance, "live or die"...Well, I guess I made the right decisions, some questionable but for the most part the right choices through out my life....But what if I went in the other direction? What if one of my friends pulled some strings and I landed a job as a guitar player for a rock group. Where would I be today? Would drugs have taken over my life? We won't know that but what really prompted me to go in a different direction? I was just over (cured) of a serious illness but I was a defiant young man. Sort of a risk taker....Was it fate? What is fate? What was guiding me? Do you think my fate was predetermined? Through the years I have often wondered why I am still healthy and why I am really here. Today I no longer ask that question. I just go along in life with what ever is asked of me...I know, I know you want a Dad quote...Lorenzo sometimes you have to just "Grin and bear it"....

There have been many things.. Success in the Military Police National Guard for 6 years. I had great job as airport Electrician at Bradley Int. airport for 20 years. I was a Career employee of the Federal Government at the Subase hospital in Groton Connecticut for 3 years and for the past 4 years I have been a vegetarian. But by far the best achievement to date for sure is that I been Sober, without a drink or a substitute for 38 years and I have never been so grateful for anything in my life.. Not to long ago at one time I was a little kid.. We all were.. I miss back then.. I was small. Innocent…. Now, years later there is a feeling of loneliness and I miss things.. I miss the old town I lived in, the people, my friends. Lately I have discovered you can visit but you can never go back.. You can go back to the town but everything is changed. The buildings are gone. It seems like things changed over night. It even smells different… I’m at an age now where you start thinking about genes and health.. I’m so blessed when it comes to that.. It seems like yesterday that I was going to the Catholic school in my little town.. I remember that like it was yesterday…We try to hang on to what we can but it still changes. The people we knew, our parents the material things. Everything changes. The older you get the time moves faster and faster. Now it seems you don’t have time to enjoy a moment anymore. You put up imaginary fences and walls to keep out the bad guys and thoughts but some manage to slither through.. These days its hard to tell the difference between the good and the bad. There are a lots of innocents that will never be the same again. I do everything I can to live and let live but I have a compassion for those who I know will never be able to live, what I consider normal life. They will never have what I had and still have… At times I worry but under the surface there is a peace and understanding, a subtle happiness that I have earned through the years.. There are a lot of Samsung Galaxy S3 errors and problems reported by users online and one of them is the occasional shutting down of the device with no apparent cause. First Solution

When your Galaxy S3 shuts down, take out the battery and let your device sit without a power for 10 minutes. That should be enough to drain some energy stored in its capacitors and semiconductors.

After 10 minutes, re-insert the battery and turn your phone on again. This solution is really that simple but proven effective. So, before you actually do something far more serious with your device due to occasional reboot or shut off, do this solution first and see if it works.

Second Solution

From the Home screen tap on Menu button on the left side of the Home button.

Choose Settings among other options and choose About phone.

Tap on Software Updates to manually initiate search for available updates for your phone. It might just be the thing you need to fix this issue. After all, manufacturers are always listening to their consumers to know what the problems are with their device. In Android, updates are often the carrier of bug fixes.

Third Solution

In case the issue wasn’t resolved with the first two solutions presented above, backup all your important data, settings, SMS messages, etc and get ready to reset your device.

Tap on Menu from the Home screen and choose Settings.

Choose Backup and Reset. You can back your data up using this option or you can do the manual way.

Select Factory Data Reset.

Now tap on Reset Device followed with Delete All.

It may take a few seconds but after that, you need to Reboot your phone to give it a fresh start. Your device has now been restored to its factory state.

If the problem persists after doing all of these solutions, it may be the time you contact your provider to have your device checked by a technician and replaced if necessary. At least, you have exhausted all possible workarounds to solve this problem.
