Ruth Losoviz comes from a musical family, and graduated from Argentina’s renowned “Carlos Lopez Buchardo” National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory in 1989 in classical music performance.

She further developed her stylistic playing by enrolling at the “Enrique Santos Discepolo” Conservatory of Popular Music where she specialized in Jazz, Tango, and Argentinian Folk Music and graduated with a master of Jazz Studies in 1992. Her first position as a Music Teacher was in the Buenos Aires public school system where she taught children from Pre-K through middle school. Ruth also established and taught private students of all ages in her own Piano Studio between 1988 and 1993.

Finding a need to explore different musical traditions and cultures, Ruth closed her studio in Buenos Aires and left her position with the school system to tour Europe. From 1993 until 1996 she toured and traveled across Europe, playing piano and accordion in Barcelona, Amsterdam, and London. She later “busked” through Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Switzerland, meeting and playing with a wide variety of other professional and non-professional musicians.

Ruth moved to Florida in 1996, became a proud American Citizen in 2007 where she continues her dedication to performing and teaching music.
