Finding ways to arrange a stress-free environment for anyone in our community, be it parents/carers, a person with a disability, or any of our locals wanting to connect to learn a hobby/life skill, for a social outlet, or to gain some relaxing down time.
Finding outlets within our community supportive of local members, resulting in the following activities and events etc
I have always had a passion for sewing, creating something unique and original, and being able to pass this knowledge on to others is very humbling; so I was very pleased when a chance meeting had me connect with someone who was so impressed with my vision she arranged for a connection with an organisation who could help this dream become a reality.
After a few meetings and organising not one but two grants over two years we gained with support and financial backing from Ability Links to assist us in the purchase of sewing machines and other requirements to set up and establish our sewing classes.
originally we began running our classes at Lithgow PCYC.
After extending our class size we then gained the support from Lithgow LINC where we have been holding our lessons for over the past year.
We wish to acknowledge and thank these organisations for their continued support to assure we keep our activity running smoothly.
We are continually grateful.
