Here are some of the tasks we'll be doing this week during group. Find them interesting? Then, join us.
Citizenship focuses this week on presidents. For example, what are the requirements for becoming president? Who was the oldest president? Who was the youngest? Where were presidents born? Could someone from Puerto Rico or American Samoa ever become a U.S. President?
Mon 8/24 - Sentence Work: Alexander Pope was known for his pastoral poems - poems written about the countryside. Here's an example called "Summer."
Tue 8/25 - Story problem: The art class has 60 sheets of paper. If you divide this paper evenly among eight groups, how many sheets of paper will each group get? How many sheets will be left over? What percent of paper will be left over?
Sentence Work: England's King James I agreed to publishing an English version of the Bible that historically became known as the King James Bible. Find out why.
Power Bills: We'll complete the last 2 questions on the power bill question sheet. (Get pdfs from bottom of August 3-7, 2015, lessons.)
Wed 8/26 - Media: Today we are reading about examining the content and privacy issues related to Facebook. How safe are you?
Thu 8/27 - Electronics: Direction writing is hard for us. We are working again at writing directions for designing a series circuit. We hope to finish a set of directions today. We will also look at how to add photos to our directions.
Supreme Court landmark cases: Today, we'll explore our question, "How do scientists know what dates and ages things are?" (We didn't do this last week )
Sentence Work: Find out more about President Abraham Lincoln's life.
Fri 8/28 - Employment: We will continue with "It is important under writing skills in the communication section in soft skills in the workplace.
Astronomy: Mercury is our next planet. Which web sites help you understand this planet the most?
