Resize primary partition on Android phone (Android 4.1, 4.2)
I use great Chineese phone THL W100. The only limitation I had was small application storage. Original splitting of built-in 4GB flash ROM was:
1 GB system
1 GB applications
2 GB data
Data partition is useless when you have memory card. I managed to change application partition size from 1 GB to 2.5 GB. What I did in short was:
root my phone (using Framaroot from xda-developers)
install "Mobile Uncle Tools" from Google Play
installed "ClockworkMod" using "Mobile Uncle Tools"
make backup of whole system
download my ROM version from needrom.com
replaced EBR1 and EBR2 files in ROM package (can be downloaded at first link below)
flash modified ROM with SPFlash Tool (WINDOWS system needed !!!)
restore system and applications

Resize Internal Storage Partitions in MTK6589 Devices (THIS I HAVEN'T USED BUT MAY WORK FOR SOMEONE)
Notes:
Easy solution using meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit APK file didn't work for me. My phone didn't boot after changing partition table using this tool. I had to reflash whole ROM to fix it and when I was doing that I tried to replace EBR files and it worked OK.
YOU DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK !!!
