About me

Suyoung Bae (Sooyoung Bae)

I am a 5th year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Maryland, College Park, advised by Howard Lasnik and Omer Preminger.

My research interests are primarily in syntax. In particular, I have worked on negation-dependent expressions (Negative Polarity Items and Negative Concord Items) and the phenomena of ellipsis in East Asian languages.
