Ever tried to configure your router's QoS system without consistent results and given up on it? I have always ran such a semi-working QoS since I never got to make it do what I want. Recently I came across an amazing guide going into the details of the way QoS works and expanding into how to apply that to achieve the results you need on both outgoing and incoming traffic. Following that I succeeded in shaping traffic so that it does not saturate my connection in either direction and ping times only rise insignificantly at maximum load. The guide is located on the TomatoUSB's website, more specifically - right here. Read it carefully and don't skip. A deep understanding is needed in order to make good use of it.

Enjoy!
