Health and Pandemics

How can libraries prepare for and respond to pandemics, disasters, and other public health crises? How can libraries ensure access to current, accurate, inclusive, and free information and services in times of heightened uncertainty, panic, xenophobia, and disinformation? How can archives inform understanding through collecting and preserving records and firsthand accounts of ongoing crises? What can be done to protect the health and livelihoods of staff and patrons, through closures, remote and alternative services and events, improved sick leave and flexible work policies, hygiene, sanitation, and social distancing in library spaces and services, and more?
