Get Involved

Volunteers are the key to the PTO's success. It's a great opportunity to meet and make friends with other parents. It's exciting to see families and students having fun at events you helped plan and make a success.

If you are a parent of a student at Liberty Elementary School, you are already a member of the PTO and we would love for you to consider volunteering this year! We meet every other month and all are invited to attend. Other opportunities are below:

AMAZON SMILE - Whenever you or your family shops on Amazon, use Amazon Smile. Register our school as the business you Support, and Liberty will get a percentage of your purchase back. "Liberty Elementary Parent Teacher Organization Carpentersvle, IL" http://smile.amazon.com/ch/04-3664450

Box Tops - Clip Box Tops from your favorite products and send them to school with your child. Last year, we raised almost $3,000!!! Please use the Box Top Forms included in Tuesday Folder emails or available here in the File Cabinet. Please only tape or glue (no staples) the box tops to the form. There will be classroom competitions all year long for pizza or ice cream parties!!! Please contact Kathy Lawton at katlaw76@att.net if you have any questions.

EVENTS/Committees - You can run a committee, work on it from home, work at the event, or do errands, etc. There's a wide range of ways you can help out during the day, at night, or on weekends.

TAP - (Teacher Assistant Program) - Come into school and help teacher make copies, cut/paste, help with bulletin boards, organize, read with students, etc. (OR) help from home - teacher can send jobs home for you to do.

Golden TAP - For all grandparents of students or of the community willing to share their time.

Room Parents - Be a Link to your child's classroom. Organize Party Planners for the 3 parties of the year. Email parents.

Party Planners - Sign-up to be a Party Planner (3 per party) for each classroom (only can sign up for 1 party per class). There will be a Halloween Party, Winter Party, and a Valentine's Day Party in each class. You can do Susie's Winter Party and Bobby's Valentine's Day Party, but you can't do 2 parties for the same class.

Attend a PTO Meeting - The PTO Meeting dates will be announced. All parents and teachers are welcome. Check the calendar. Reminders will go out.
