Internships are an opportunity for students to gain work experience in a professional setting. Interns work under the supervision of a mentor and are often unpaid. The placements take place for a set period of time with an understanding by the employer and intern that there’s no guarantee of employment at the end of the program.
Internship application requirements can include an application, resumé, and/or cover letter. Visit our Resumé page to access resumé guidance or a template you can use.
The ISD High School College & Career Centers advertise internship opportunities submitted by local community members and businesses. We strive to keep these postings current and periodically remove opportunities from the list that have expired or just feel dated or old.
The ISD High School College & Career Centers keep a list of internship programs our students have participated in or that we've researched, heard, or read about. Browse the list and visit the websites of any programs you'd like to learn more about. Or, simply use these as a way to learn more about how high school internship programs are typically organized and structured.
