A resumé is a short, one-page document that summarizes and highlights your background, qualifications, and skills. It should include work experience, volunteering, academic achievements, relevant skills, extra-curricular activities and hobbies. It is a way to introduce yourself and create a positive, professional impression on paper.
A resumé is helpful in applying for jobs, interviews, internships, colleges, scholarships, volunteer opportunities, or when seeking a letter of recommendation or a reference for an application.
A resumé is also a requirement of the High School and Beyond Plan. Students will work on their resumés during the 10th and 12th grade core Xello lessons, and they will also be required to present a printed copy during their Senior Exit Interview.
