2020 Ring of Honor Class
Blake Kane - Blake Kane is one of the original players for Lourdes soccer. Blake played for two years as the starting left back when Lourdes was just a club team, and played his senior season in 1997 in Lourdes' first varsity season. Blake was the Eagles' first captain, first all-state selection, and first varsity player to go on to play in college. His hard work and dedication to the program remains as one of the pillars of the Lourdes soccer. Blake went on to play at Gustavus, and is also a former assistant coach.
Will Elder - Will Elder was the starting goalie for the Eagles from 2009-2012. During that time, Will had a record of 71-12-4 with 46 shutouts. He had a 0.77 GAA and stopped 537 shots in his career. Will's wins in a season (22), wins in a career (71), and shutouts in a career (46) are all school records. He also is tied for 1st all-time in the state of Minnesota for shutouts in a career. Will was the starting goalie for the 2012 state championship team and stopped two shots in the final shootout. Will was first-team All-State in 2011 and 2012 and was a two-time all-conference player.
2019 Ring of Honor Class
Jack Convery - Jack was one of the most prolific scorers in Lourdes history scoring 49 goals and tallying 43 assists, playing from 2009-2012. His assist total is a school record, as well as the most assists by a forward in Lourdes history. His goals rank 4th in school history, and he is 3rd in points. Jack was All-Conference twice (2011,2012), All-State Honorbale Mention (2011), All-State (2012), All-State Tourney Team twice (2011,2012), and State Champion (2012). After Lourdes, Jack went on to play at Viterbo College and is also a current assistant coach at Lourdes
Sean Kane - Sean played from 1998-2001 and still holds many of the school assists records to this day. His 43 career assists is a school record, as his his 26 assists for a single season, and also holds the record with 5 assists in a single game. Sean also added 17 goals (27th) for 60 total points (12th). Sean was All-Conference (2001), All-State (2001), and a two-time State Champ (1998,1999). Sean went on to play at Wartburg College and has been on the coaching staff at Lourdes since 2006. He is currently the Associate Head Coach.
Alan Schembri-Wismayer - Alan had an illustrious career at Lourdes from 2009-2012, racking up 81 points from 44 goals and 37 assists. He ranks 8th in school history in goals, 6th in assists, and 6th in points. He was all-conference twice (2011, 2012), first team All-State twice (2011, 2012), State Champion (2012) and was the Mr. Soccer runner-up in 2012. After his playing days at Lourdes, Alan went on to play for Macalaster as well as Med City FC and professionally in Malta with Swieqi United FC.
2018 Ring of Honor Class
Scott Turner - Scott was a five-year starter at center back for the Eagles, and the first full-time defender that has been inducted into the Ring of Honor. He started as an 8th grader in 1997 until his senior season in 2001. As a starter, he was a part of the 1998 and 1999 state championship teams, as well as earning a third-place finish in state in 2001. Besides being a shut-down defender, he was also a threat to score on set pieces with 18 goals and 7 assists in his career. When he was a starter the team goals against was 0.56 which is the best in Lourdes history
Joe Elder - Joe is our first goal-keeper that is being inducted into the Ring of Honor. Joe was the starting goalie for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. He was also a forward and back-up goalie for the 1999 state championship team. During his time as the starting goalie Joe had a 0.36 goals against average, 93.85% save percentage, and 33 shutouts in 45 games. His overall record in net was 40-4-1. His goals against and save % for his career are both Lourdes soccer records to this day.
2017 Ring of Honor Class
Mark Lembach - Mark Lembach was a center midfielder who played from 2002-2005. He scored 42 goals and added 43 assists for 85 points. He is tied for 1st all-time in assists and is in 9th all-time for goals. Overall he is in 5th place for total points. Mark was also a two time all-conference player and was first team all-state in 2005. Mark went on to Marquette.
Tim Macken - Tim Macken was a forward for the Eagles who played for the 1999 to 2002 seasons. During his time in the lineup, he scored 56 goals, and tallied 33 assists for 89 total points. He ranks 3rd all-time in goals, 9th all-time in assists, and 4th all-time in points. He was a two-time all-conference player, and was named first team all-state in 2002. He went on to play at Pittsburgh.
2016 Ring of Honor Class
Eric Hanson - Eric was a center midfielder for the 1998 and 1999 state tournament teams as well as team captain. He also played during the team of Lourdes club soccer so his point totals are very impressive. He is currently 8th all time on the Lourdes point list with 37 goals and 37 assists during his time as an Eagle. He was a two time All-State player in 1998 and 1999, and was also All-State honorable mention as a sophomore during the 1997 season. He was one of the main pillars of the early Lourdes teams that started the legacy of Lourdes soccer. Eric went on to play Division 1 soccer at St. John's in New York.
Jon Wagner - Jon was also a captain during the 1998 and 1999 state title teams. He was a speedy, left-footed forward who had a nose for the net. Like Eric, he played during the club soccer years and still threw up big all-time numbers. He finished with 32 goals and 28 assists, and sits at 12th all-time with 60 total points. Jon had a great forward mentality and routinely scored in big games. He scored the game winning goal off a free kick to win the 1998 state title. Jon went on to play Division 1 soccer at Western Michigan.
2015 Ring of Honor Class
Ben Garry ('95-'96) - Ben played two years as a part of our club team, and unfortunately graduated before we could be a full varsity sport. He lead the state in scoring his senior year, and is arguably the best player that has ever put on a Lourdes uniform. After high school, Ben went on to play four years at the University of Pittsburgh. During his career at Pittsburgh where he was a four year starter, he scored 18 goals, and had 12 assists. He was named the team MVP in 1999 and 2000 and was a captain for three seasons. After college, Ben went on to play for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds from 2001 to 2002, and is the only player in Lourdes History to play professional soccer.
Chris Glinski ('97-'01) - Chris was a five year starter, and was a starter on both the 1998 and 1999 state championship teams. During his time at Lourdes he was a two time all-state player, all-state honorable mention, and two time all-conference. Chris also is the only player in Lourdes history to be named Mr. Soccer, and the only player ever to be named to an All-American team. He finished his career 9th all-time in points with 30 goals and 39 assists. After high school he went on to play at the University of Michigan where he started for four years and was twice named to the All-Big Ten Academic team. He finished his career at Michigan playing in 59 games, scoring 6 goals, and notching 4 assists.
Bayode Adafin ('03-'06) - Even with missing most of his junior season to injury, Bayo still finished 2nd all-time in goals and points at Lourdes. He scored 77 goals over his four years, with 13 assists, and 110 total points. He also holds the school record for goals in a season with 34. He was the runner-up for Mr. Soccer his senior season, and also earned all-state honors, all-state honorable mention, was a two time all-conference player, and was also named to the all-state tournament team twice. After his illustrious career at Lourdes, he went on to play at Columbia University in New York. At Columbia he was named to the 2nd team all-Ivy league once, and also was named Honorable mention once. More notably he was also a two team member of the all-Ivy league Academic team. His final stats at Columbia were 61 games played, 17 goals, and 5 assists.
Tyler Kodet ('00-'04) - Tyler has gone down as the top scoring player in Lourdes history. He scored 89 goals, had 37 assists, for a total of 126 points during his time at Lourdes. He is a five year letter winner and four year starter, holding the school record for most goals in a career, most points in a career, and most points in a season. He was a two time all-state player, three time all-conference, and was named to an all-state tournament team. He played his college soccer in Collegeville for St. John’s and also had great success there. He was a first team All-MIAC player in 2005 and 2006. He scored 22 goals, adding 13 assists 68 games played for the Johnnies.
