Val Benedict, Reverend

revladyval@gmail.com 280-808-1511

When people ask Val what she believes, the answer comes down to one simple word: God.

“I strongly believe there is no such thing as God and something else,” she says. “And daily work as a practitioner provides me with the constant reminder of God as everything, everyone and everywhere.”

Val entered New Thought in 2005, became a licensed practitioner in 2011 and a minster in 2014. Her goal is to help her clients expand their love for themselves, and by doing so all the other pillars of their lives (health, wealth, loving relationships, creative expression and spiritual practice) will strengthen as a result.

Lorna Bright

Author, speaker and musician from Yuma, Arizona. Lorna’s extraordinary journey of self-discovery began in the Midwest when the Christian college she was attending, chose not to grant her the Bachelor of Theology degree she had earned. According to church doctrine, the degree was not to be awarded to a woman.

That pivitol event set her on a quest for a more holistic and inclusive spirituality. After graduating from college in San Jose, CA, she retreated to Hawai'i where she spent 3 years studying Eastern religions. There, in the lush tropical paradise, she came to the realization that infinite truth doesn’t confine or restrict anyone. It sets you free. The truth, infinite truth, transcends all religion and philosophy.

Lorna’s musical ability then called her to Nashville, where she found success as a songwriter. Yet the divine urge pressed her forward. She came to the middle of the Sonoran desert where the 10 commandments were revealed to her. This profound personal experience culminated in her book: “God’s Top Ten List: The Cosmic Code for Enlightened Living” Lorna lives her positive, spiritual message. Russ Cavanaugh

Russ lives in Lake Havasu city. He is a member of our Center and a student of personal growth and transformation and has been so ever since being introduced to The Science of Mind Philosophy in 1988 when a friend brought him to Mile Hi Church of Religious Science in Denver, Colorado.

As with many of us, it took a “dark night of the soul” experience for Russ to wake-up to the folly of life as he had been living it and for him to begin to search for true satisfaction and fulfillment.

As a Surveyor for the Bureau of Land Management, Russ spent 18 years of his 27 year career outside in nature. As he says, “Hiking for dollars.” So it really was not such a long stretch to experience Spirit in Nature.

Russ has completed over 300 classroom hours in metaphysical studies, received his Religious Science Practitioner’s License in 1999, continues to practive a 12 step program on a daily basis and believes that we all have so much more to learn because “you can’t know what you don’t know.”
