Redwood City Bee Tree Removal

This was maybe the most exciting removal to date. An old heritage oak was scheduled to be removed in Redwood City and we got the call to rescue the bees. The homeowner coordinated the entire operation with the city permitting office, arborists who would do the tree removal, and me. After first sealing the entrance and working with the arborist to cut out the section of tree containing the bee colony, I went to work with the chainsaw sectioning the tree and removing all the hive material – old comb, new comb, honey stores, brood, and of course Her Majesty the Queen. What a fun one this was!
