The main interest of our research group is to understand how environmental changes affect biodiversity across time and space; how such biotic changes influence ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services (e.g., crop pollination and biological control); and how the complex networks of ecological interactions in which species are embedded regulate these processes. We work extensively with plant–insect interactions but are also very interested in all other types of organisms!
Luísa G. Carvalheiro (group leader) is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Ecology at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG, Brazil). In 2018, she was included in the Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers List.
