Novel
Starting Over (Austin Macauley Publishers, 2024) takes place in England in the year 1966, January through December; the setting is a fictive boarding school for children with special needs; the central conflict that between an authoritarian outlook and one based on participation and choice. Major themes concern such areas as self-development, limited self-awareness and problematic husband-wife as well as father-son relationships.

Collection of stories
In The Sound of Patriarchy and Other Stories (Bridge House Publishing, 2022) the subject matter ranges from relationships to reactions to traumatic experiences and change, the tone from serious to comic. The three excerpts below, “The Real Thing”, “No Bear” and “Moe”, are from this collection.
The book should be available at amazon as well as the Bridgetown Café Book Shop.

Review by BigAl published on amazon (US):
4.0 out of 5 stars The Sound of Patriarchy and Other Stories
More than 20 short stories. The Sound of Patriarchy is one of the stories, but don’t assume that this title is indicative of what the majority of stories are about. In fact, the actual story with that title didn’t turn out quite like what I would have anticipated. However, the stories were generally entertaining, sometimes thought provoking, and had enough variety to keep things interesting. If you’re into short story collections this one is definitely worth checking out.

'The Sound of Patriarchy and Other Stories’ is a collection of short stories. It contains a mixture of humorous and sombre storylines that make it suitable for all readers.
The contemporary narrative keeps the content alive, and although the book cover did not represent the interesting content inside, the stories kept everything alive, and the reader intrigued.
What I particularly enjoyed about the book was how some of the events were traumatic, and the descriptive counterpart of the scenes enabled me to envision the story very well.
I recommend this book to those who like to read in short intervals and enjoy collection stories.
