Dr. Anthony Várilly-Alvarado introduced me MAGMA, and I have found it extremely useful to run all kinds of algebraic geometry computations.
You may ask your institute for MAGMA license.
Dr. John Christian Ottem showed me how powerful Macaulay2 could be.
It is the best engine for exact sequence computation (of course, much more than that) and it's free.
I use Wolfram Alpha to for simple plot or matrix operation.
I use Inkscape to draw pictures.
Mathematical Notes and Forums
Of course, there is always the amazing Mathoverflow!
I know a little Arithmetic aspect of Algebraic Geometry. However, I found the notes from J.S. Milne and summary from B. Poonen very helpful!
Stack project is where I review classic concepts from modern angle and learn new concepts in an universal setting.
I am fascinated with different types knowledges! I love reading books about them, but I also take online classes to see what's exactly going on. Till now, I took Statistical Learning, Image and Video Processing, Computational Investment, Modeling Engineered Systems, and etc. This is my way of catching up the world.
