Writing music in a 53-TET system using the Arel-Ezgi-Uzdilek notation that can handle transpositions can be very challenging, so developing Lilypond code that that can accommodate such features was a necessity. The code is based on makam.ly code included in the current distribution of Lilypond, and is meant to be used in its place.
