My career path
Even before finishing my mechanical engineering degree at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), I taught in the Faculty of Sciences & Engineering at PUCP (2005-2007). Also, I had teaching experience in the Support Education Program (PAE) at University of São Paulo (USP) (2009, 2011). In parallel to teaching, I worked in the Food and Mine industries (2005-2008) developing projects in the area of project management, fluid conveying and steel structures design. In 2008, I ventured to get into the world of technology and science research directed towards oil and gas industry. So I took my master degree at USP in April 2010. By virtue of that work, I managed to win the 5º Edition of Petrobras Technology Awards. In 2011, I worked as a Associate Researcher at BWC/AECL/NSERC Chair of Fluid-Structure Interaction - École Polytechnique Montréal for seven months. I obtained my PhD degree in 2014 and came back to Peru for a sabbatical period. At that time, I worked as a Division Manager for a Development Consulting Company. It was a great experience returns to the industrial sector. I visualized that my actual vocations are Consulting and R&D&i. So, in 2015, I came back to Brazil (again) where worked in two R&D Petrobras projects at Industrial Multiphase Flow Laboratory (LEMI) at USP, São Carlos campus. I am living in Chile since 2018. Here, I am an Assistant Professor at the Universidad de O'Higgins (UOH). The UOH is a new public university, with focus on R&D. In addition, I am the Technology Transfer Coordinator of the Fábrica Digital O'Higgins, in Rancagua, Chile.
