“Israel, A Right to Exist”

A symbolic representation in color and line of my reflections of Israel and its constant struggle to defend its right to exist.

Dark blue outlines the State, the color of peace, things hoped for. Contrasts or opposite colors were used to show opposing forces. The symbols of the Temple Menorah and pomegranates represent the spiritual elements that are not always in focus or seen. The shofar sounds from Jerusalem and encircles the flame. Divisions of space,the turmoil in Gaza and two swords for the danger within and from without.

“A Healing Stream"

A Visual Depiction of Isaiah 44:4-5

Painted from a photo I took here in Jerusalem, with sky blue reflections forming a tree with roots, in the center of the pond grass grows and red fish swim. Israel and Yaakov's names are written in Hebrew in the trunks image. A beautiful healing energy seems to flow forth from it.
