So it is now against the law to use science and reason in Portland, Oregon to investigate climate change? Remind me not to raise my kids there though it is encouraging to observe that most commenters seem to see through the nonsense.
What happened to ‘question everything’? No longer acceptable advice for kids in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Oregon?
Why are environmentalists so frightened of contrary opinion? Is their case so weak that they have to seek the protection of the State? They are afraid their case cannot stand up to public inspection? They are afraid kids might learn the truth? They are afraid of being exposed as frauds and forever lose their following(read memberships and donations)?
Are they not being un-American by seeking to suppress free speech and free scientific investigation into the workings of Mother Nature? Who does that but tyrants?
“A lot of the text materials are kind of thick with the language of doubt, and obviously the science says otherwise,” Bigelow says, accusing the publishing industry to bowing to pressure from fossil fuels companies. “We don’t want kids in Portland learning material courtesy of the fossil fuel industry.”
Would it be OK for them to learn what Mother Nature says, Bill? Is that acceptable in Portland? Could it be that Bill is not interested in any ‘truth’ but only what is acceptable to him?
“ ‘Carbon dioxide emissions from motor vehicles, power plants and other sources, may contribute to global warming,’ ” he quotes Physical Science published by Pearson as saying. “This is a section that could be written by the Exxon public relations group and it’s being taught in Portland schools.”
Note the weasel word ‘may’ in the above, the hallmark of uncertainty. Don’t they know? Isn’t the science settled? Why the weasel word? What does Mother Nature say about that? Isn’t she quite unequivocal about it? She has already performed the experiment of having 400 ppm of CO2 in the air. So says the NOAA. You know, NOAA? Bought and paid for with US taxpayer money. In 2013, the measured amount of CO2 first passed 400 parts per million in the atmosphere as recorded at the Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii.
NOAA gives away the secret
There is .04% CO2 in our atmosphere. That translates to 400 parts per million. We are supposed to PANIC because this is over 100 ppm higher than the pre-industrial level.
BUT....

NOAA says the last time the atmosphere was at 400 ppm CO2 was 2 million years ago.
What was it like then, according to NOAA?

Would it be impertinent to ask why it isn’t that warm now that we have reached the auspicious milestone of 400 ppm in our air? Would it be impertinent to ask why sea level isn’t 33 to 66 feet higher now that we have reached 400 ppm again?
Has CO2 lost its mojo?

CO2 was lower 120,000 years ago than it is now so how did it get warmer? CO2 didn’t do it!

This means that Mother Nature has already conducted an experiment to test the theory that CO2 concentration in the atmosphere drives the temperature and climate of the Earth. Throughout most of the last 600 million years CO2 has been at levels 5 to 20 times our current 400 ppm. This created no tipping point leading to no runaway global warming as the alarmists fear will happen. How do we know? Look around. Life survived the higher concentrations of CO2. We are here. No bubbling cauldron, no Hell on Earth.
Back in the day, CO2 had its opportunity to fry the planet and took a pass. CO2 has failed its climate driving test.
We are safe and aren’t climate alarmists exposed for the frauds that they are?
Are we now ready to hear the truth about CO2 and teach it to our kids? It’s good news, Bill. Is that allowed in your world?
CO2 is NOT a pollutant. It is not a poison. It is our friend. Try breathing without it.

We exhale CO2 and help to feed the flora. In return they slip us oxygen of which we are rather fond in a mutually beneficial and amicable symbiotic relationship. From this evil comes?
Future generations will look back at this time and wonder how so many people could be taken in by the ‘hate fossil fuel’ hysteria. It will be the focus of Phd studies on how people could fall for the delusion that CO2 is a toxic pollutant. We exhale it people. It is in your lungs in concentrations approaching 40,000 ppm. How are you feeling? It is in the ambient air at 400 ppm and has been as high as 8000 ppm within the last 570 million years. We are here. There was no tipping point no runaway global warming to make the planet uninhabitable.
Plants grow better, stronger, faster because of the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere.
In concluding, the U.S. research team declares that "from this remarkable 30-year archive of satellite imagery, we thus see evidence of a greening trend," which clearly indicates that the net result of the climatic and physiological effects of atmospheric CO2 enrichment on Earth's terrestrial plant life has in the mean been decidedly beneficial.
Apart from that CO2 has no redeeming features
We need to stop all activities aimed at decreasing human emissions of CO2.
CO2 is clean and green. CO2 is a friend with BENEFITS. Must you eat? Then the social BENEFITS of CO2 are PRICELESS. We need more of it not less. The globe is greening. This is a sign that CO2 is benign. Don’t you want a GREEN planet? CO2 has been exhaled during the creation of this post. No living thing was harmed. Some even liked it. It turns out that Mother Nature, who has the ONLY opinion that counts, is a Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming denier and Bill doesn’t want anyone to find out!

They mean climate change at the hands of CO2.
