June Meeting & Centennial Forms

posted Jun 5, 2021, 8:37 AM by Meredith Pelham

The next Comitium meeting will be in Murfreesboro at St Rose of Lima on June 13. Due to time restrictions, the meeting will begin promptly at 12:30. The meeting will be in the gym, to the side of the usual meeting room. Parking in front of the gym is best. There will be a sign showing the gym entrance. Masks and distancing will be required due to parish guidelines. Snacks and bottled water will be available afterward. The Hispanic marriage ministry group will be serving plates of fajitas next door for $10, so bring some extra change and enjoy!

Sister Mary Vozar still needs your praesidium history forms (a blank form is attached below.) Please email your form to or mail to her along with any copies of photographs of members, projects, newspaper clippings, etc. It is a monumental task to compile these into a book celebrating the Legion of Mary and its 100 years in Middle Tennessee. If you still need information, make an appointment with Sister Vozar. Some information may have to come from the historical records of the comitium.

June Comitium Online & Acies Report

posted Jun 13, 2020, 11:52 AM by Meredith Pelham   [ updated Jun 13, 2020, 11:55 AM ]

The June Comitium meeting, which was scheduled to be at St. Rose of Lima, will be a Zoom meeting at 2 pm. Sunday, June 14th. Please see the agenda email for the Zoom link and password.

Legion president Joyce Brokaw adds, "This will be the third time, and I am going to pray to Our Blessed Mother that it will be right!"

Sister Joyce reports that the Acies in May worked out well. This was the first time Bishop Spalding had said Mass to a live audience since the shut-down began. This was also a first for wearing masks and for attending Mass in person for many legionaries who had been watching from home. A big thank you to Our Lady of Good Success praesidium for their hard work, and especially to Suellen Simpson for her prayers that we would be allowed to hold the Acies this year.
