Productive Fall for Legion of Mary

posted Oct 25, 2018, 8:30 PM by Meredith Pelham

Legionaries from across Middle Tennessee have joined together to support 40 Days for Life, from the kick-off Mass and candlelit vigil to a "Lift High the Cross" Rosary Rally and Way of the Cross for victims of abortion.

Legionaries also held a "Book Barrow" at Oktoberfest outside the Church of the Assumption in Germantown. This traditional Legion work gives legionaries a chance to answer questions about the faith, reconnect with lapsed Catholics, and encourage others with good Catholic literature.

Spiritual Bouquet for Fr. O'Neill

posted Jun 12, 2018, 11:07 AM by Meredith Pelham   [ updated Jun 12, 2018, 11:08 AM ]

A message from Comitium Secretary Ann Stout:

Hello, all! What a delight to see so many smiling faces this past Sunday. As most of you know Father O'Neill has felt a need to step down as the Spiritual Director for the Comitium due to the new assignment of parishes west of Nashville.

It is a bitter sweet time for us. We are of course saddened to lose such a vibrant leader and, at the same time, what an honor has been bestowed on him that he is going to an area that has fallen to the side in Legion attendance. I have no doubt in my mind that the Blessed Mother asked for his assistance in making her Legion whole again in the area of Hohenwald. Who knows what the Holy Spirit will do! We might even see a regrowth in McEwen. Keeping the Faith, we will send him off to revive our Mother's Legion.

It was recommended that the Comitium send a Spiritual Bouquet to him as he undertakes this newest work for our Lord. Please send me the prayers you will be offering for him, and we will get the bouquet made up and sent on. What a joy for him to come to his new home with all of these prayers to greet him as he walks in!
We would of course encourage all the Presidiae to send individual bouquets to him over the next few months. It will gladden his heart and lighten his "burden" of pastoring 3 parishes if we continue to let him know we are keeping prayers going for him. I will be glad to share the new address for him with anyone who needs it, as soon as I have it.

Thanks to all,

Please Note: May 6th
