Research on Geothermal Energy at Songwon University
- 송원대학교가 '지열'에서 새로운 성장동력으로 삼고 연구개발에 나선다. 송원대는 지난 8일 학교 산학협력단 산하에 지열연구센터를 개소하고 본격적인 연구개발 업무에 들어갔다. 송원대 지열연구센터는 이창희(기계자동차공학과 교수) 센터장을 비롯해 연구원, 품질책임원, 기술책임원, 시험원 등 총 5명으로 구성돼 있다. 센터는 지중열전도도 측정을 수행하고 지열에너지 분야의 전문인력을 양성하는 사업을 추진하게 된다. 또 지중열펌프 연구 등의 연구과제를 수행해 국내 지열에너지 보급과 발전에 기여할 계획이다. 지열에너지는 물이나 지하수, 지하의 열 등의 온도 차이를 이용해 냉난방에 활용하는 신재생에너지 기술로, 온천 등의 관광자원이나 난방의 열원 등으로 직접 이용되고 있다. 에너지 효율이 좋아 향후에는 지열 발전을 통해 전기 에너지를 얻는 방식으로 나아갈 전망이다. 센터는 현재 지중열교환기의 다양성을 제공하기 위해 장기적인 운전 안정성과 개발대상 지중열교환기의 설계 및 시공, 운영에 대한 폭넓은 연구를 수행 중에 있다. 또 지열에너지를 활용해 국가의 에너지 정책에 부합하고 지열에너지 인증평가기관으로 도약하기 위해 국제 공인시험기관인 KOLAS(한국교정 시험기관 인증기구) 인증 획득을 위해 준비 중이며 오는 12월 취득 예정에 있다.이창희 센터장은 "센터의 목적에 부합하는 전문성을 가진 인재를 양성하고 지속적인 자기계발과 산학협력을 통한 지열에너지 연구개발을 수행해 국내 지열에너지 연구 분야의 중추적인 역할을 하겠다"고 밝혔다. 최동환 기자 http://www.jnilbo.com/read.php3?aid=1496070000524633095

4. 학회 Objectives and Scope
Environmental chemistry is the study of chemical processes occurring in the environment which are impacted by humankind's activities. These impacts may be felt on a local scale, through the presence of urban air pollutants or toxic substances arising from a chemical waste site, or on a global scale, through depletion of stratospheric ozone or global warming. The focus in our courses and research activities is upon developing a fundamental understanding of the nature of these chemical processes, so that humankind's activities can be accurately evaluated.
The field of environmental chemistry is both very broad and highly interdisciplinary. Within the Department of Chemistry we have a core group of faculty whose research interests are in atmospheric and aquatic chemistry, photochemistry, and the chemistry and transport of long-lived pollutants. We interact with other chemists in the Department, with numerous other researchers at the University who have related interests, and with nearby government agencies. Indeed, the setting for the study of environmental chemistry is ideal.

The convergence of recent scientific and technological activities provides unique opportunities and an infrastructure for both theoretical and applied sciences. However, specific environments for constructing knowledge are needed. In such environments, knowledge media should bring together the technology and learning theories to form meaningful settings for learners with different academic, administrative and support needs.
