France

Imagine yourself deep in the Cevennes. The remote part of France where there's only nature, light and... you.

This is the view from your 'hamot' ( a 200 year old farm-village) where you stay.

Everyday is an adventure, where you will visit the forest, a nearby village, or rethink your photography on the terrace.

Our Cevennes photography workshop is something totally different.

No matter what level or camera you have, just come and have a great time in France, and learn photography from a PRO.

Book for one week of workshops and visit this remote and paradise like place.

To get there from Joyeuse (Ardèche) is a winding and curly road through the mountains of about 25 minutes. So this is no luxury trip, but you can be sure to learn a lot, eat great food, meet some great people and just have a great useful time photographing every day.

The photography schedule will be something like this, but we like improvising due to weather conditions, events or other circumstances.

Before your arrival Sander would like to check your work online so he knows what individual lessons can be useful to you. Send him your portfolio.

Day 1 Getting to know each other in a B&W portrait session in the morning, evaluation in the afternoon, ended by a second portrait session.

Day 2 Visit to a typical Ardechois place, like the market, a goat cheese farm or a pub. The making of a reportage in your own visual language.

Day 3 Into the Wild. A hike into the woods doing nature photography, documentary and maybe a surprise...

Day 4 Choosing a visual style. Today we'll all work on a personal project that will be finished tomorrow.

Day 5 Final day, evaluation, exhibition, personal work

During these days you will also do short workshops like photographing blindfolded, photographing at night, photographing without a camera, planning a shoot, overcoming street photography fear, etc. etc.
