There are several regular local Net Check-ins:
The Lake County Monday Night Net on the 146.775 repeater starts at 7:00pm. There is also an emergency net on this repeater on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.
The Tech Net on Tuesday nights starts at 7:00pm on the 147.675 repeater. This is your chance to ask any technical questions about ham radio. It is always an interesting and informative net.
The County Wide Net starts at 7:30pm on Wednesday nights and in Lake County it is accessed through the 147.675 repeater.
Walking Repeaters on Wednesdays at 8:00pm on 145.555 is a simplex net with Len WA6KLK in Mendocino County as Net Control. Karen, KI6SAH is usually a relay for Lake County so if you do not hear net control right away, wait for Karen.
You can catch some of the locals on the Bozo Net on Sunday and Wednesday nights. This is a 2 meter sideband net at 7:30pm on 144.240 USB. Locals get on and chat beforehand, usually around 7:00pm. When 7:30 rolls around, point toward Fresno because that is where you will normally hear net control.
Note: The Hunter repeater 147.675 is part of a countywide linked repeater system. Thank you Willits Amateur Radio Society for this informative page WW6MMM
