Larsen Design Engineering provides product development support.

Concept Generation:

New concepts, enhancements, improvements.

  • What does it need to do?

  • What will look like?

  • How it will function?

  • How will it be fabricated?

  • How else can it be done?

Detail Design:

Fit and Function. Consideration of DFA & DFM.

DFA - Design For Assembly considers methods and modes of assembly. Simplify the structure of your products and thereby reduce part costs as well as assembly costs. Should parts snap, press fit, solvent bond, ultrasonically weld together? Can multiple parts be replaced by one? Will products be assembled by hand or machine? Will material creep or yield?

DFM - Design For Manufacturing considers best methods for fabrication. Can the process provide the required tolerances? Does the design lend itself to the method? Does the volume justify the capital cost?

3D Parametric Solid Modeling:

CAD work is performed in Creo (Pro/Engineer) or SolidWorks.

  • Advanced Surfacing.

  • Conversion from 2D to 3D.

  • Detail Drawings of 3D parts and assemblies.
