IDEFIX - Indicator Database for Scientific Exchange
Development
IDEFIX was developed within the SPIN project (Contract No. EVG2-2000-0512, founded by the 5th Framework Program of the EU).
Objective / Purpose
IDEFIX is an indicator database based on landscape metrics to support interpretation of most of the metrics available and implemented in multiple software solutions. It should make the end users more familar with the metrics and its behavior, biases, limitations, correlations and further aspects.

Platform specification
IDEFIX is a stand alone program tested under the Windows operating systems 98/NT/2000/XP.
MS Access is required.

The overall objective of IDEFIX is ...
The database should support the daily tasks of the users and could help with the interpretation of results. It can also be used to develop semi-automatic procedures for indicator selection. A set of indicators is implemented in VLATE and IMT and tested in a GIS-
environment - using application buttons.

Status
The current version 0.5 is in an evaluation status until the SPIN project end 04/2004.
