My goal is to bring my knowledge and experiences to the classroom to give real-world meaning to the content I teach. I enjoy teaching students about how the world around them connects to the science material we are studying. I believe the critical thinking skills developed in science are key for success in any field.
I was born and raised in Aiken, S.C. I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and my M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Clemson University. I then worked as an environmental engineering consultant. After deciding to change careers, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Clemson University. I have teaching at Langston Charter Middle School since 2012.
My wonderful wife is also a teacher and we have two smart, funny girls.
