Some news about meetings, conferences and schools that I attended
- I'm in the organizer committee of IoP Conference about Nanostructure at Soft Interfaces, Friday 07th December, Cambridge University. I will also give a talk about my recent findings in using of multivalent interactions to achieve super-selective targeting in biological systems.
- I am participating (with Cornelius, Evelyn, Alessio and Nicola) to Biomaker Challenge 2018. We were founded with 1000 £ to realize our project called "Watering, lighting and monitoring system for plant growth": a self-maintaining plant growing system that will monitor and control humidity, temperature and light conditions to grow different kind of plants. Final competition will be the 27th of October, and we already have some buds of tomato, chilly and pepper!
- 18-20 September 2018: It was great to organize (together with Dr. Cornelius Baush) the Biological and Soft System exposition for the 34th Physics at Work held in the University of Cambridge, a three-day event that aims to stimulate interest and encourage wider participation in physics amongst 14- to 16-year-olds by showcasing the many and varied ways in which physics is used in the wider world. This year we talked about polymers and gels and how they affect our everyday life.
- 13-14 September 2018: Poster titled "Use of multivalent interactions to achieve super-selective targeting in biological systems" presented at Italian Soft Days 2018, held in Padua, Italy.
- 05-08 June 2018: Poster presentation at Third Functional DNA Nanotechnology Workshop held in Rome, Italy.
- 10-12 July 2017: I'll give my first talk on my new project (Optical methods to study the selective targeting of .Large Uni-lamellar Vesicles .with gold nano-particles using DNA) at UK Colloids 2017! Find out more!

I won a fellowship sponsored by Fundation Wiener-Anspach to work in a project in collaboration between Universitè Libre de Bruxelles (EMNS) and University of Cambridge (SMBP).

- 17-18 November 2015: From Molecule to Device, the 1st NAPES Workshop held in The Holiday Inn, Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
- 15-16 October 2015: invited seminar at IPGG, equipe Viovy, "Phantom material for optical sensing". Collaboration with Davide Ferraro, PhD, for the realization of mono-disperse fluorinated droplets using microfluidic devices.
- Invited talk to the NanoForum, September 29/October 2 at Polytechnic of Milan, Campus Bovisa. I presented my work during the session about water quality.
- Poster presentation at the EuroNanoForum 2015: "Direct optical detection of surfactants by means of micro-porous polymeric materials iso-refractive to water", 10-12 June 2015, Riga, Latvia. Here a picture of the NAPES delegation (professor Marco Buscaglia, professor Dermot Diamond and me) attending to the EuroNanoForum 2015.
