I aim at using a broad range of state-of-the-art methods to generate knowledge. This includes developing theory, testing its mechanism in behavioral experiments and implementing rigorous impact evaluations of innovations in reality. A lot of my work hence involves primary data collection in different countries, such as Philippines, Germany, Vietnam, China and Pakistan.
