Step 1: Power down the machine, remove the translight, and open the backbox door.
Step 2: Remove the original EPROM from CPU board at location C5 (marked in white ink on the circuit board). Use a small blade screwdriver and pry gently between the chip and socket.
Step 3: Save the original EPROM as a backup. You can wrap it in foil to protect it or use a static safe bag.
Step 4: Insert new EPROM into the now empty socket at C5. Be sure to align the notch on the side of the chip with the white notch mark on the circuit board and the notch in the socket. If you have done this right the text on the label should be readable and not upside-down.
Step 5: Double-check that each pin is inserted correctly in the socket, and no pins are bent.
Step 6: Close the backbox door, and reinstall the translite.
Step 7: Power up the game. The second boot screen should now report CPU version 1.13
Step 8: Perform a "Restore Defaults" from the adjustment menu, adjustment #99 (optional, but recommended).
Step 9: Setup your game preferences by configuring the "Adjustments" to your liking (optional).
That's it! You are now ready to play. Enjoy.
