Rules

GENERAL RULES

1) NFHS playing rules will be used.

2) All teams will be scheduled to play at least 3 games.

3) The length of Varsity games shall be two 40 minute halves with a 5-minute half time. All JV pool games shall be two 30 minute halves. JV Finals will be two 40 minutes halves. Running clock, no injury time.

4) Coaches are responsible for their teams to be ready at the scheduled time, and for the conduct of their fans.

SCORING SYSTEM

Win = 3 points

Tie = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

TIE BREAKERS

If there are two teams tied in points at the end of the preliminary rounds, the following tie-breaker procedures will be implemented to determine a winner:

• 1. Head to Head winner.

  2. Goal differential.

  3. Least goals allowed.

  4. Least Red Cards.

  5. Least Yellow Cards.

  6. Coin toss.

Varsity Semi Final/Final and JV Final ties will be decided by two 5 minute "Golden Goal" OT periods, then Penalty Kicks if needed.

GAME PROCEDURES

Home team will wear dark jerseys and choose bench.

Home team shall provide 3 NFHS game balls.

Home team shall change jerseys if conflict of colors.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Unlimited substitutions will be allowed under CIF playing rules.

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to champions in each bracket

PROTESTS

No protests are allowed.
