연세대학교 경제학부 교수로 재직 중입니다. 거시경제와 금융시장에 대해 연구하고 있으며 2021–2023년 한국은행 금융통화위원, 2019-2021년 국민경제자문회의 거시분과 위원을 역임했습니다. 주요 관심사는 통화정책 전달경로, 가계부채, 금융안정, 기후금융 등입니다. 현재 한국은행 금융통화위원회 자문위원, 한국은행 경제연구원 경제자문 패널, 한국금융학회 학회지 『금융연구』의 수석편집위원장으로 활동하고 있습니다.
Ki Young Park is a Professor of Economics at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. He served as a member of the Monetary Policy Board of the Bank of Korea from 2021 to 2023 and as a member of the Macroeconomics Subcommittee of the National Economic Advisory Council from 2019 to 2021. He is currently an advisor to the Monetary Policy Board and a member of the Advisory Panel at the Bank of Korea Economic Research Institute.
Professor Park’s research lies at the intersection of financial economics, macroeconomics, and applied econometrics, focusing on monetary policy transmission, household debt, financial stability, and climate finance. He has also translated several influential economics books into Korean, including House of Debt: How They (and You) Caused the Great Recession, and How We Can Prevent It From Happening Again (Mian and Sufi), Radical Markets: Uprooting Capitalism and Democracy for a Just Society (Posner and Weyl), and Tumultuous Times: Central Banking in an Era of Crisis (Shirakawa). He is the author of the textbook Financial Economics: Analyzing Financial Markets and Monetary Policy with Python (in Korean, forthcoming), written for advanced undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals working in financial markets.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and B.A. and M.A. degrees from Yonsei University, and has previously been a visiting scholar in economics at Stanford University.
