On my honor, I will try:
To serve God* and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
* The word "God" can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one's spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is OK to replace the word "God" with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate, even "Mom"!
At many of our meetings, we will do the Girl Scout hand squeeze (also called friendship circle or friendship squeeze) at the end of the meeting. We will stand in a circle holding hands (place your right arm over your left arm). The leader will squeeze the hand of the girl on her left, she will squeeze the hand of the girl on her left, and so on, until the squeeze makes its way back to the leader. Sometimes, the girls will make a silent wish during their part of the squeeze. Other times, the girls will share something out loud during their part of the squeeze. This represents the unbroken circle of friendship.
Hold the middle 3 fingers up by putting the pinkie and thumb together
Shake hands with your left hand while making the Girl Scout sign with your right hand.

Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver and the other's gold.
A circle is round, it has no end.
That's how long, I want to be your friend.
A fire burns bright, it warms the heart.
We've been friends, from the very start.
You have one hand, I have the other.
Put them together, We have each other.
Silver is precious, Gold is too.
I am precious, and so are you.
You help me, and I'll help you
and together we will see it through.
The sky is blue, the Earth is green.
I can help to keep it clean.
Across the land, across the sea,
Friends forever, we will always be.
