Our former graduate student, Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Jimenez, received the "Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award" from UAlbany. Only one award is given to each College and School so this is a great achievement for Dr. Moreno-Jimenez. Congratulations !!

One of our graduate students, Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Jimenez, has successfully defended his dissertation work. Dr. Moreno-Jimenez will be the first student who will receive a Ph.D. degree from our ESE department. Congratulations !!

Daniel A. Moreno-Jimenez has been selected as a recipient of the Great Dane Internship Scholarship award ($750). This award will support his participation in the 2022 AEESP conference in St. Louis this year. Congratulations again !!

Kyoung-Yeol joined the Editorial team of the Journal of Hazardous Materials Letters (sister journal of the Journal of Hazardous Materials, newly launched in May 2020) as an Early Career Advisory Board member (for two years, until 2022). Kyoung-Yeol gave a speicial lecture about Microbial Electrochemical Technologies in the classroom (NENG 423 Renewable and Alternate Energy ) at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Thanks to Dr. Harry Efstathiadis for giving me this opportunity.

We visited the Albany wastewater treatment plant (South plant) for a tour. It was very nice time to see the whole processes that we are learning in the classroom.

We are welcoming our new graduate student Daniel Moreno Jiménez, who will join Kim research group from Fall semester 2019. Danial has been awarded the scholarship funded by CONACYT in Mexico. Daniel will be supported a total of $116,728 until Aug 31, 2023 (4 years).

Dr. Jongkwan Park received a new job offer. Dr. Park will start his new job (Assistant Professor) at Changwon National University in South Korea. He will officially start his work at CNU from 9/1/19. Congratulations and good luck with your new job !!
