Inviting Intermediate Strings Players and
Advanced Strings, Winds, Brass,
and Percussion Players

to Audition for KVYSO.

There is no fee to audition.

We regularly hold auditions in January, June, and September. You are also welcome to audition at any time. Please contact Lori Scheck at elscheck@colby.edu.

Kennebec Valley Youth Orchestra
(intermediate orchestra)

1. SCALE  All instruments: 1-2 octave scale of your choice.   

2. SOLO  Choose any polished piece to show your beautiful tone and attention to musical detail.

3. SIGHT READING An easy sight reading piece will be provided at your audition.

Choose two polished pieces (one fast, one slow) from your instrument’s standard repertoire that demonstrate your technical mastery and  beauty of expression.
