Founder information

The Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Society was organized February 6, 1977, by a group of Genoa citizens.  That evening there was a unanimous decision to name the society

“Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Society.”  The stated purpose of the society was “to provide a cultural, historical and educational benefit to the community.”
