Kuntoro Boga Andri, SP, M.Agr, Ph.D., was born in Banjarmasin on December 1, 1974. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) in 1998. He is currently active as a central board member of PERHEPI, serves as Head of the Agriculture and Food Division of the IPB Alumni Association (DPP HA IPB) for the 2025–2029 period, and is a member of the National Board of HKTI for the 2025–2030 term.
His international experience began with a collaborative research program in Japan (1999–2000), after which he pursued his postgraduate studies in the same country. He obtained his Master of Agriculture degree from Saga University in 2004 and earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Policy from Kagoshima University in 2007.
His research track record is distinguished, having been awarded the titles of Associate Researcher (Peneliti Madya) in 2010 and Principal Researcher (Peneliti Utama) in 2017 by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). He has been actively involved in numerous national and international research collaborations, and has contributed to projects with FAO, CGIAR, ILRI, ACIAR, and AVRDC as a collaborating scientist, technical consultant, and project coordinator.
Within government service, he has held several strategic positions, including Head of the Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology (2016–2018), Head of the Research Institute for Sweeteners and Fiber Crops (2018), Head of the Bureau of Public Relations and Public Information at the Ministry of Agriculture (2018–2024), Head of the Center for Standardization of Plantation Instruments (2024–2025), and Head of the Center for Plantation Assembly and Modernization (March–July 2025). Since July 9, 2025, he has been serving as Director of Downstreaming of Plantation Products.
Kuntoro Boga has also received several international recognitions, including the Yoshinogari Goodwill Ambassador award from Saga Prefecture, Japan (2000), the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship from the Government of Japan (2002), and participation in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) from the United States Government (2016).

Saat ini aktif sebagai pengurus pusat PERHEPI, Ketua Bidang Pertanian dan Pangan DPP HA IPB 2025–2029, serta Dewan Pengurus Nasional HKTI periode 2025–2030.
Pengalaman internasionalnya dimulai melalui program riset kolaboratif di Jepang (1999–2000), kemudian melanjutkan studi pascasarjana di negara tersebut. Ia meraih gelar Master of Agriculture (2004) di Saga University dan PhD di bidang Ekonomi dan Kebijakan Pertanian (2007) dari Kagoshima University.
Rekam jejak penelitinya sangat mumpuni dengan capaian Peneliti Madya (2010) dan Peneliti Utama (2017) dari LIPI. Ia aktif dalam berbagai kerja sama riset nasional dan internasional, serta terlibat dalam proyek FAO, CGIAR, ILRI, ACIAR, dan AVRDC sebagai collaborating scientist, konsultan teknis, dan koordinator proyek.
Di pemerintahan, ia menjabat sebagai Kepala Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (2016-2018), Kepala Balai Penelitian Tanaman Pemanis dan Serat (2018), Kepala Biro Humas dan Informasi Publik Kementerian Pertanian (2018–2024), kemudian Kepala Pusat Standardisasi Instrumen Perkebunan (2024–2025), dan Kepala Pusat Perakitan dan Modernisasi Perkebunan (Maret–Juli 2025). Sejak 9 Juli 2025, ia menjabat sebagai Direktur Hilirisasi Hasil Perkebunan.
Kuntoro Boga juga penerima penghargaan internasional Yoshinogari Goodwill Ambassador dari Prefektur Saga, Jepang (2000), peraih beasiswa Monbukagakusho (MEXT) dari Pemerintah Jepang tahun 2002, serta program IVLP dari Pemerintah Amerika Serikat (2016).
