I graduated with a phD in instructional design and technology from Macquarie University, Australia. My other qualifications include a masters degree in educational technology from the National Institute of Education (Singapore), a bachelors degree in civil engineering from the National University of Singapore and a postgraduate diploma in education from the National Institute of Education (Singapore). I have worked in various capacities both as an educator and instructional designer with many reputable educational organizations and tertiary institutions.
I have a deep interest in promoting the use of technology to advance innovation in teaching and learning and have participated in e-learning initiatives. I have published my reserach widely in reputable journals and presented my findings at numerous international conferences. I have also provided consultancy to a number of organizations in the domain of instructional design, particularly enabling them to leverage upon technologies as effective pedagogical drivers in enhancing instructional delivery. I have also done funded research in learner-centric instructional design and technology. In my teachings and trainings I like to focus on the practical application of sound theoretical principles in everyday working contexts - thus establishing a more meaningful theory-praxis nexus.
