About Me

My name is Krystal Peterson. I graduated from UND in December of 2002 with a Business Education degree and a minor in Marketing Education. I student taught at Tri-County in Karlstad, where I then signed my first contract as the Business Teacher for the 2003-2004 school year. The following year I went on to continue my education, this time pursuing a degree in Family & Consumer Science at NDSU. I pursued this degree while maintaining my business/computer teaching position.

In the summer of 2008 I was offered the FACS position in Lancaster. One year later, our Business Ed teacher resigned allowing me the opportunity to use all of the degrees I currently have. The classes I teach include FACS 7, FACS 8, FACS 9, Values & Choices, FACS10-12, Textiles, Parenting, Child Development, Food Science & Wellness, Accounting I, Accounting II, Computers I, Personal Finance Management, and Keyboarding to grades 2-6. Most recently, I have become a Google Level 1 Certified Educator, and I am currently working on obtaining my Level 2 Certification. My goal is to be a Certified Trainer by the end of the 2018-19 school year.

I am also the adviser for FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). I enjoy all aspects of my job.

I am married to Mike Peterson, who is the Industrial Technology teacher at Lancaster Public School. We have 4 children, Sam, Miranda, Marlyee, and Karsynn. As a family, we enjoy anything having to do with racing, hunting, and just having a good time.
