I have been fascinated with mark making; the prehistoric cave handprints, the aboriginal dots, the swirls on Native American shields, and the graffiti on the subway walls. There is a sacred presence to the symbols and I enjoy playing with their relationships. Marks transcend the walls and mark your body, your memory, your future, and your soul. Marks go deep and my art is layered and allow you to see something new each time you look.
