I welcome original research masters, Ph.D., and Research Fellowship applications from ambitious candidates with a passion for sharing knowledge, who are committed to sustainability and positive research for the betterment of society. To discuss opportunities and possibilities, please email me with your outline one-two page proposal (i.e. state aim and novelty, the research hypothesis, problem solved, and a clear methodology with appropriate relevant references).

If instrumentation and control engineering thrills you and if you consider yourself as highly dynamic, highly motivated, with excellent academic background throughout, master of at least one of LabVIEW and MATLAB, interested in measurements: Measuring circuits and Instrumentation, Sensors and transducers: modeling and linearization, Digital Signal processing: Notch filtering, Multi-notch filtering, System Modeling and Identification, Digital Filter Design, Robotic Manipulators: Modeling, Tracking and Control, Intelligent Instrumentation, Real-Time Systems, FPGA Applications, Renewable Energy: PV Systems and alternative energy sources: Modeling and Control for MPPT, Modeling and Control of PEMFC/SOFC for MPPT, etc., and are willing to pursue Ph.D. in any of these areas you are encouraged to discuss your research plan.

As a serious Ph.D. candidate you must also consider that:

a. Intellectual Ability,

b. Knowledge in Chosen Field,

c. Scientific Ability,

d. Overall Imaginative/Creative Ability,

e. Motivation - Perseverance - Commitment,

f. Verbal, Written and Visual/Graphic Communication in English,

I believe that there is no shortcut to learning except by doing it yourself.

My team (My Colleague Prof. Vineet Kumar, My Several Extraordinary Undergraduate students whom I am proud of, our few Masters students, and our very few Ph.D. scholars )

Students of UG/PG levels desirous of taking up technical projects/final year thesis with us must also consider the above-mentioned features.

Interestingly, in our team, there had been many many instances where our UG/PG students were able to publish their work in reputed international journals/conferences. You also would be expected and encouraged to reach this level. Noramally, these students are rated as follows.

Knowledge and Creativity: Had a broad perspective on the field; were among the brightest persons I knew; produced novel ideas; were intensely curious about the field.

Communication Skills: Clear, organized, and logical manner; wrote with precision and style; spoke in a way that was interesting; organized writing well.

Teamwork: Supported the efforts of others; behaved in an open and friendly manner; worked well in group settings; offered criticism/feedback to others in a helpful way.

Resilience: Accepted feedback without getting defensive; worked well under stress; could overcome challenges and setbacks; worked extremely hard.

Planning and Organization: Had realistic goals; organized work and time effectively; met deadlines; made plans and adhered to them.

Ethics and Integrity: Were among the most honest people I know; maintained high ethical standards; were worthy of trust from others; demonstrated sincerity.
