KS is a neurogeneticist in Japan. KS uses fruit flies as a model organism to study how the potential of innate behaviors is built into the nervous system during development.

KS was concurrently appointed as a visiting associate professor at the University of Hyogo (UH), Graduate School of Life Science. This is a position of the Cooperative Graduate School Program of UH with NICT. I can accept undergraduate and graduate students of UH to my laboratory at NICT.
