The Kohler Kristies Ski Club was organized in 1966 by Kohler Co. employees, whose primary objective was to promote downhill skiing. The ski club provides instructions for the beginners, plans and organizes ski functions of all kinds, and promotes good-fellowship among the club members.
The club name "Kristies", was derived from the ski term "Kristie", which means a specific type of turn a skier makes going down the slopes.
Since it was organized, the club has gone into many other aspects of winter sports, such as snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and sledding, as well as many other activities throughout the year.
The Kohler Kristies Ski Club is open to anyone of legal drinking age.
