5. Removing Nail Caps

For removal, I first snip off the tip of each nail cap with my nail clippers.

Then I use a dental pick to break the glue seal around the top of the nail. Since I didn't brush glue on the underside of the nail, there's a glue-free space to insert the pick. I bought the dental pick at the drugstore.

The nails are white and opaque under where the nail caps were because they are moist. I generally remove nail caps the night before I trim nails, then I trim nails the next morning, and reapply caps before we go on any outing more than half a block long.
