Welcome to Fifth Grade Osprey students!
My name is Sanja Vidakovic (Mrs. V), and I’m thrilled to be part of the Kittredge Magnet School community since 2011. Originally from Croatia, I grew up in Germany, which sparked my passion for languages and cultural exchange. I started my journey here as the German World Language Teacher, and it’s been a joy to inspire my students and share the beauty of language with them. I am taking on the role of a Social Studies teacher this year and I can't wait to share my love and knowledge of World and US history with my students.
When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, exploring new places around the world, and immersing myself in different cultures. I also enjoy writing children’s books, which allows me to connect my love for storytelling with my teaching. Cycling is another passion of mine, whether it's a leisurely ride around the neighborhood or an adventurous journey through scenic landscapes.
I’m looking forward to another exciting year at KMS, filled with new experiences and opportunities for growth!

Welcome to fifth grade Social Studies, I look forward to working with each and every one of you (families included). I am happy to say this is my twentieth year teaching. I had the extreme honor being selected as teacher of the year at Austin Elementary in 2015. I spent eight of those years with second graders (Austin Elementary), two years with fourth graders (Austin), and this is my tenth year working with fifth graders at Kittredge. This is my ninth year teaching SS (one year was ELA). I am so excited to see what the year has in store.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Education from Monmouth College, with a focus in science. Monmouth College is a small liberal arts school in Monmouth, Illinois. Originally, I am from a small town called Hermiston, Oregon. I moved to Georgia in 2006, and have since gotten married and had two kids (Ashley, 17 & Mason, 15). I consider myself very lucky to teach at Kittredge with such amazing students and families. Of course, I look forward to another fantastic year!
