For students interested in studying under my supervision in a master's program

I am not currently accepting students planning to start their master's program from 2024 to 2026.

Furthermore, Kwansei Gakuin University does not offer a research student program. Please contact me after you have successfully passed the university's entrance examination for graduate school. If you have any questions before then, please contact the administrative office of the School of Economics.

For those who want to study under my supervision, I will provide guidelines for admission criteria below.

Before graduating from the undergraduate program, please fulfill the following requirements:

・Take my Labor Economics courses A and B.

・Take either of my Advanced Labor Economics courses A or B.

・Take Advanced Econometrics courses A and B.

If possible, take advantage of the Early Subject Enrollment System to reduce the number of courses taken during the first year of the master's program. (For those seeking jobs after graduation, students are busy in the first year of the master's program as there are many mandatory courses and job-hunting activities. If you plan to pursue further studies, this approach also provides the benefit of planning your research project with ample time.)

If the requirements above are difficult due to your studying abroad or my absence, please refer to the requirements for the case of the general admission track below.

For those seeking guidance involving theoretical analysis, please achieve good grades in Microeconomics courses A and B and take Public Economics courses A and B in addition to the above.

As a prerequisite, please acquire a standard understanding of labor economics and econometrics from your undergraduate studies. The following textbooks provide a benchmark for the required level of knowledge (The textbooks include Japanese ones):
