28 DAYS FOR CHANGE:

KKITTB board/training works to lay a solid foundation for the dog to follow. Family must be able to follow up with the schedule we send home with the dog to maintain the wanted behavior.

We recommend the 28 days time frame in order to establish a solid foundation. Even though dog may learn commands quicker than 28 days, we feel the time frame gives dog more time to help retain what they are learning.

Basic Obedience commands taught: Heel, sit, down, stay, come, off, quiet, leave it, & get back are a few of the commands taught in the basic obedience.

Behavioral Issues: Jumping, nipping, biting, barking, destructive chewing, digging, running away to name a few are the behavioral problems dealt with.

addition time may be required for some behavior isssues:

More severe problems: Aggression, obsession, territorial protection to extremes, phobias, (fear of ...?) fear biting, unresolved housebreaking, or whatever is a severe problem for you &/or your dog.

Any behavior taken to an extreme may be due to DNA hard wiring or chemical imbalance & may not be resolved thru training alone. Some of these behaviors can be modified thru medication. Some are beyond all remedies...thankfully its the very rare exception that fits in that category so we'll cross that bridge if we need to.

NOTE: Any/All prescription medications must be prescribed by your family Vet. & will NOT be prescribed by Taming the Beast (TtB).

Taming the Beast does NOT prescribe medication although non-prescription remedies may be suggested/tried if needed w/prior written family approval.

Unfortunately Housebreaking, along with all training cannot be guaranteed as there are many factors in consideration, i.e., intelligence, temperament, age, health & your participation, to name a few. but every effort will be made to get the dog successful in all your areas of need. The dog will be taught to follow the leader, so family must participate in training to understand their role when the dog returns home in order for the dog's behavior to remain successfully modified.

Taming the Beast is our passion & lifestyle. We will treat your dog with respect as the loving, feeling, thinking creature we know they are. They will be provided with a safe environment, daily interaction with people, cats, other dogs, and if available attend a group dog training class. Prior approval is required.

During each week we work on progressing from just understanding basic commands, to being acceptably reliable off leash by the end of a full 12 wk program. Follow up lessons are included if need.

*KKITTB 1: TtB1=28 days starts from 1st day dog is here regardless of the time and ends 28 days later by 10pm. Dog will learn the basic obedience commands and minor behavior problems will be modified.

**KKITTB 2: TtB2=28 days continues from TtB1 training camp, advances at the dogs level of competence, reliable recall, off leash basic obedience. Modifying more sever behavior problems.

***KKITTB 3: TtB3=28 days continues from TtB2 training Camp week 8. Severe behavior problems need time to modify so with any behavior taken to an extreme we strongly recommend this program. Also recommended if an AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate is desired.
