About the author

David Dom is a Druid, and the founder of the New Order of Druids (NOD), the first Dutch Druid organisation of Belgium. He is the author of various books relating to Celtic history, mythology and spirituality.

David was born in Antwerp, Belgium, and developed an extensive number of interests. They include music (hobby DJ), computers/internet, politics, protection against child abuse, and of course writing. Since the beginning of the 21st century, he became spiritually active within Druidism. By the end of 2001, David Dom began his Druidic studies under Jean-Claude Pretre, a Bard from France, until by the end of 2003.

After the end of his Bardic training from Jean-Claude, David Dom became a student of the legends of King Arthur as well as Celtic legends from Wales. He undertook a journey to North Wales in August 2003 in search for the legendary Avalon, and he returned there for a second time in July 2005. To this day, he still feels a strong affinity with Wales, and with everything to do with the legends of King Arthur and Merlin.
