Exquisitely designed for function, our hands enable us to richly experience and reshape our world around us. When brain or bodily injury impairs our ability to use our hands, their pivotal role in upholding our independence and quality of life is made painfully clear. My lab is dedicated to advancing our understanding of the neuroscience of human hand function for the purpose of harnessing this knowledge to improve patient rehabilitation.

Molly holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc by Research in Neuroscience from the University of Dundee and the University of Edinburgh.
Her PhD uses movement science to investigate upper limb prosthesis use in children, leading to more functional design.

Ben holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Neuropsychology as well as an MSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology from Bangor University and Swansea University. Prior to joining the lab, he worked as an Assistant Psychologist in Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
His PhD investigates brain reorganisation following injury to one or more of the nerves of the hand.

Ronan holds an MSci in Clinical and Health Psychology from Bangor University.
His PhD investigates the use of a virtual reality approach to improve limb function after stroke.

Elsie holds an MSc in Principles of Clinical Neuropsychology and a BSc in Clinical and Health Psychology from Bangor University. Elsie is also the former VP for Education for Undeb Bangor.
Her PhD sets out to develop a core outcome set for peripheral nerve injury.
